The next General Assembly will be held June 30-July 7, 2012, in Pittsburgh, PA.  If you want to have an impact on the General Assembly:

• Join the Renewal Team and come to the GA.  We need people who will testify in a committee, observe/report on a committee, take photos or video, and help in our hospitality room or our booth in the exhibit hall.  Email Sarah if you might be able to serve in one of these ways.
• Pray!  Pray for presbyteries to elect godly, able commissioners, and for sessions and presbyteries to submit overtures that would be pleasing to our Lord.
• Work in your presbytery to send up an overture, or to concur with one we've posted.
• Work for the election of good commissioners from your presbytery.
• Let us know the names of commissioners from your presbytery.  This will help us make necessary contacts well before we arrive in Pittsburgh.

Is There Any Hope for the PC(USA)?

This blog entry by Mary Naegeli, the Coalition's Renewal Director, is a good reminder that "when we feel hope is gone, we are called upon to turn again to God and hitch our hopeless wagon to his.  He is the one who is hoping the PCUSA will turn around.  He, even more than we, is anxious for the church to discover its life and to put its trust in him."

Overtures to the General Assembly

The first step in the overture process is for your session to submit an overture to your presbytery.  If approved, the overture will be sent to the General Assembly.

The time to begin this process is NOW.  If you would like help in drafting an overture, contact our office.
