The Constitution of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) consists of two parts. Part I is The Book of Confessions; Part II (consisting of the Form of Government, Directory for Worship, and Rules of Discipline) is called the Book of Order.
The Book of Confessions contains historical statements of what we as a church believe, including the Heidelberg Catechism. Click here for a copy of the entire Book of Confessions, then click the left sidebar item, "The Heidelberg Catechism."
Click here for the action taken at the 218th General Assembly (2008) concerning the Heidelberg Catechism.
When the committee report and recommendations are available, they will be posted here.
